Nigeria’s National Anthem Composer, Pa Ben Odiase, Dies

The composer of Nigeria’s National Anthem, Pa Benedict Odiase (MON), has passed on.

Thegazellenews.com reliably gathered that Pa Odiase died on Tuesday night after a brief illness.

The late Odiase composed Nigeria’s National Anthem ‘Arise O Compatriots’, which replaced the former anthem, ‘Nigeria We Hail Thee’.

Family and friends lamented late Odiase was neglected by the Federal Government before his death.
