The free medical test and service programme, according to Obasa, was meant to assist in providing free medical service to his people especially in some core and common diseases.

“This programme will last for 10 days and it will be an annual event. This means every year, we will be gathering here for 10 days to attend to our health needs,” the lawmaker told the gathering.

At the event, which will last for 10 days, residents will be tested for eye, teeth and high blood pressure problems. According to him, those with minor problems will be tested, treated and administer drugs at the event while those whose cases are severe would be referred to hospitals which specialise in the referral cases.

At the event, prominent personalities in Agege such as erstwhile Special Adviser on Education to former Governor, Bola Tinubu, Professor Tunde Samuel; two time Chairman of Agege Local Government and former Commissioner for Agriculture and Cooperatives in the state, Chief Enoch Kolapomoye Ajiboso; Chairman of Orile Agege Local Council Development Area, Honourable Taofeek Abiodun Adaranijo; and traditional rulers at the event all commended Obasa and expressed satisfaction at his performance in the Assembly noting that the lawmaker has represented the people of his constituency well.

“I’m very proud and all Agege are proud of you, you have made us proud and I want to tell you not to rest on your oars and continue to represent us well,” Professor Samuel said.

For Ajiboso, Obasa has been a good representative of the people and the free medical programme is another confirmation of his commitment to the welfare of his people.
