Breaking! Protest In LASU As 500-Level Law Student Is Stabbed To Death

There was a protest in the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo today, Monday, 20th March, 2017 over the death of a student of the university this morning.. The deceased was a 500 Level named Ugwanyi Cyril Onyekachi.

Thegazellenews.com learnt that the deceased had brush with a commercial bus driver over scratching of his car. The altercation developed into a physical brawl which later led to the deceased being stabbed to death.

The students, led by the President of the Students’ Union Government, Samuel Kappo, protested the death. This led to altercation with the internal security operatives in the university. Kappo was allegedly arrested and beaten by the security operatives and this reportedly annoyed the students more.

Thegazellenews.com can however confirmed that tension has been doused with the release of Kappo and normalcy has returned to the university campus.
