Lagos Lawmaker, Ogunyemi, Jakande, Two Others To Get AOCOED Award

The Chairman of the Education Committee of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Honourable Micheal Olanrewaju Ogunyemi, will be honoured on Tuesday, 14 May, 2019 by the authorities of the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Otto-Awori. 

The lawmaker will be honoured with a Distinguished Alumnus Award by the institution. 

According to a letter of award forwarded to Honourable Ogunyemi signed by the Provost of the institution, Dr (Mrs) O.A. Ladele, the lawmaker’s award was approved by the institution’s Governing Council based on the recommendation of the institution’s Academic Board.According to the letter, the award was due to Ogunyemi’s, “contribution toward improving standard of life of citizens and developing society in general,” which the institution confirmed, “is critical and worthy of emulation.

Also to be honoured alongside with Ogunyemi at the event slated to take place at the Senator Oluremi Tinubu Multi-purpose Hall in the college campus during the 36th, 37th and 38th Joint Convocation of the College, are: first Executive Governor of the state, Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande who will receive a Fellowship award; the Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District in the Senate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola who will receive a Diamond award; and a Professor of Health Education, Professor Fasan who will also receive a Distinguished Alumnus award.
