…Operations Grounded, Flight Suspended, Passengers Stranded
Workers of the Aero Contractors Airlines down tools this morning grounding the operations of the airlines.
Thegazellenews.com learnt that the entire workforce of the airlines including the pilots and aircraft engineers went on strike meaning that no Aero Contractors flight took place from the Ikeja Airport this morning.
Our correspondent learnt that the workers were protesting against a newly employed senior manager who was alleged to have ordered huge cuts in the salaries of workers.
Sources told thegazellenews.com that female manager on resuming duties went on wage reduction exercise which did not go down well with the workers.
She was quoted as saying that in the bank where she is coming from, workers don’t earn as much as the Aero Contractors Airlines’ workers.
The workers have decided not to go back to work until the senior manager is removed.
Passengers with the flight tickets of the airline were left stranded this morning and as at the time of writing this report, they were protesting at the airline’s office.
