Osun Policies, Programmes Structured For Economic Emancipation – Deputy Governor

The Deputy Governor of Osun State, Mrs. Grace Laoye-Tomori, says collective wisdom, especially of the royal institutions is needful for the stabilization and progress of the state.

Mrs. Tomori stated this at an interactive session with Ijesha North Traditional Council and residents of the area in Aregbesola’s Campaign Office in Ibokun, Obokun Local Government of the State.

According to the deputy governor, the state government will continue to factor positive thoughts and ideas of traditional leaders into the implementations of its policies
While describing the forum as strategic in placing government on its toe and keeping it on the right path, Mrs. Grace Laoye Tomori said the interactive forum is a milestone in inclusive style of the state government.

The gathering which afforded the participants the opportunity to raise questions on various issues bothering on community development witness massive turned out of youths and residents of the council.

The Deputy Governor used the occasion to task the royal fathers to prevail on the youths in their communities to embrace agricultural practice.

She stressed that rather than searching for scarce white collar jobs, the state government has created lots of opportunities for the youths to excel in agriculture.

In his opening remark, the facilitator of the programme, an Assistant Director at the Community Forum, Bureau of Communication and Strategy, Mr Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, disclosed that government of Osun State is committed to developing the state and returning it to the path of glory.

Oyintiloye stressed the need for stakeholders at the interactive forum to bear their minds with a view to assisting the government achieve overall result.
