Exclusive! Fashola’s SA At War With Commissioner, PS, Others

The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Public Health, Dr Yewande Adesina, is presently in the eye of the storm as investigation reveals that she is at loggerheads with prominent top officials of the ministry especially the Commissioner, Dr Olajide Idris.

Thegazellenews.com learnt that SA, daughter of former national president of the Parents-Teachers Association of Nigeria, Dr Babs Animashaun, thus maternally related to the state Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, is said to have developed a high handed attitude which has strained her working relationship with the Commissioner and the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr Desalu as well as the board of the Public Health Commission (PHC) under her jurisdiction.

Thegazellenews.com learnt exclusively that in the last one year, the Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty Rilwan Akiolu has had to settle misunderstanding between the SA and the Commissioner twice in his palace.

The last PHC board headed by Professor Abosede had it rough with Dr Adesina until the expiration of the tenure of the board.

The current board under the leadership of Dr Babatunde Sagoe has also been having it rough with the SA over her administrative style especially having to do with her alleged financial recklessness.

Thegazellenews.com investigation revealed that the SA has been at loggerheads with the board over the way she spends money with little or no regard to due process.

It was a shouting match on Tuesday at the quarterly meeting of the Governor with heads of parastatals and executive council members.

In the absence of the Governor, the meeting was shared by the state Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Mr. Ben Akabueze.

Dr Adesina was reported to have reacted angrily to a submission by the board leadership and it took the intervention of the state Head of Service, Mr. Adesegun Ogunlewe, before her temper and blazing tongue could be brought under control.
