Oil Tanker Explodes At Ogere, Discharges 40, 000 Litres Of Gasoline

An oil tanker fully loaded wiith 40, 000 gasoline exploded this morning at Ogere on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye, the explosion about 500 metre to Ogere.

The explosion resulted in huge fire outbreak. However, human life and properties were not put at any risk just as the fire has been put out while the process of trans-loading the gasoline from the burnt tanker to another one is about to begin after the cooling off of the fire.
