Alleged Abductors Of Supreme Court Judge’s Wife, Daughter Nabbed

Operatives of the State Security Service in Edo State on Tuesday paraded three suspected abductors of family members of Supreme Court Justice, Justice Bode Rhodes-Vivour.

The justice wife, Adedoyin, his daughter and their driver were abducted in May, while they were  on their way to  Benin to attend a wedding.

The suspects included Austine Umuroko, Wisdom Ovwigho and Oghenero Ogheneriwe. They are all from Delta State.

Parading the suspects before Governor Adams Oshiomhole, the SSS Director in the state, Bello Barkori, said with the cooperation of security agencies, particularly the Nigerian Army, the command was able to rescue the victims and apprehend some of the kidnappers.

He said, “The three suspects, who are members of the kidnap syndicate that abducted the justice wife were arrested at 77 Norouwa Street, off 3 House, Upper Sakponba Road, Benin.”

Other members of the gang identified as Kelly, Koto, Shaggy, Maxwell and Afoke, he, however, noted were on the run.

The governor,  who said he was excited about the arrest, thanked the Army and the SSS for carrying out a successful rescue operation as well apprehending the abductors.

Vowing to demolish the house where the suspects were arrested, Oshiomhole said the action was “to serve as a warning to others.”
