Officials in Lagos State International Trade Fair management were arraigned before a Lagos High Court, Ikeja on Thursday over allegation of their involvement in multi-million naira fraud.
The five suspects: Bassey Dominic, Okafor Ngozi Eunice, Francis Datla, Okocha Ajele Lazarus and Kolo Barnabas are facing alleged theft in the sum of N248.746 million preferred against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The five officials were arraigned before Justice Kudirat Jose but they pleaded not guilty to the offences.
Prosecuting counsel, Mr. O.P Owodunni said the offence committed by the defendants contravene Sections 516 and 396 of the Criminal Code Cap C17 Vol 2 of Lagos State Nigeria, 2003.
According to the charge sheet, the offences were committed on various dates between 2009 and 2012 when they allegedly stole the said sum.
