Teenager, Two Others Docked For Stealing N4.3m Jewellery

Three persons  have been arraigned at  the Ikeja Magistrate Court, Lagos, for allegedly stealing jewellery valued at N4.3million belonging to one Justina Okpoh.

The defendants: Oluchi Nwogu, 18; Onyekachi Godfrey, 37; Yakubu Musa, 34; and others now at large committed the offence on on 13th September, 2013 at Road 64, Vac House, 24, Lekki Lagos.

Prosecutor, Inspector Roman Unuigbe, said that the offence committed is punishable under Section 409 Criminal Laws of Lagos 2011.

Unuigbe said the deefendants conspired  to steal the jewelries.

The trio however pleaded not guilty to the two count charge.

The magistrate, Mrs. Abimbola Komolafe, however granted the defendants bail in the sum of N250,000 each with two sureties.
She  adjourned the case to 12th December, 2013.
