There was fire outbreak at the office of the Head of Service of Ogun State, on the morning Monday, 24th March, 2014.
The incident which was said to have been caused by a power surge happened around 11 am and got parts of the Head of Service’s office and the protocol office burnt.
According to our source, workers who were on duty were seen scampering for safety while some of them made efforts to stop the fire.
The fire was eventually put off by officers of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the state fire service who got there shortly after the fire outbreak.
The state Governor, Ibikunle Amosun who later inspected the burnt offices expressed joy that no life was lost in the outbreak.
“As you can see, there was no major loss, no life was lost and we had no human causality, you too can go and see for yourself to confirm what happened there” he said.
Items burnt includes computer sets, files and furnitures.
