The Governor of the State of Osun , Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola last week flagged off his re-election campaign in Ile-Ife, promising to continue with various developmental projects his administration has embarked on in the state should he be allowed to govern the state for another four years.
Ogbeni Aregbesola while speaking at the rally held at Ife Technical College, Ile-Ife and attended by chieftains and supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) including the Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Comrade Ayodele Adewale revealed that he embarked on series of developmental projects to satisfy yearnings of Osun people for a better society.
According to the Governor, while addressing the mammoth crowd: “Today, Tuesday, 27th May, 2014, makes it seven years that I was chased out of Ile-Ife. The mandate was stolen from us but it was retrieved for us by the court. That day was significant for us in APC because it was a day of victory.
“We have tarred 50.7 kilometers road network in Ile-Ife and we intend to do more for the people of the state. What we have done will be a small project to what we will do in the second term. We have distributed 1,400 computer tablets popularly known as “ Opon Imo” to students in Ife Federal Constituency”.
Governor Aregbesola, who noted that his administration has also initiated and completed several projects in health sector all designed to benefit the masses, maintained that he would further raise ante of development in the state if given another term.
He declared that Yoruba people have never been part of reactionary forces since independence and urged people of the state to vote for the APC to allow the party executes its other life changing programmes for the benefit of the people.
Comrade Adewale while speaking to thegazellenews.com, noted the the Govenor deserved another term. “The Aregbesola administration since assumption of office has sustained free-health service to all, ensure education development, put in place agriculture revolution, and engender massive infrastructure renewal, amongst others.
“It is only a leader like Ogbeni with ideological preparation and a crusading commitment that can fast track human capital development in a deprived society.’’
The local government boss enjoined all to massively vote for Ogbei Aregbesola, as he continues his quest to place the State of Osun on the world map.
