Nigeria 16th Most Valuable Team In Brazil

Nigeria’s Super Eagles are the 16th most valuable team among the 32 countries taking part in this year’s World Cup in Brazil, according to a report.

With an insurable value of £143.1m, the average value of an Eagle is £6.2 m. Nigeria is third among African countries, behind Cameroon (11th with £195.8m) and Ghana (14th with £158.5m). Ivory Coast, with the likes of Yaya Toure and Didier Drogba, are 18th with an insurable value of £132m while Algeria, the fifth African country at the mundial, are 28th with £49.4m.

The list, released by Lloyd’s and the Centre for Economics and Business Research, sees Germany top with £641.2m, Spain second with £590.1m and England are third with 550.1m. Hosts Brazil are fourth with £448.3m.
