Oyegun Emerges APC New National Chairman

After so much horse trading former governor of Edo state Chief John Odigie Oyegun has emerged the new chairman of the All Progressives Congress

While former Governor Timipre Sylva withdrew from the race nothing was said of former foreign affairs minister Tom Ikimi giving Oyegun a clear path to emerge as the new chairman.

A highlight of the election of the new executive council of the party is the emergence of former deputy national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party and former governor of Ekiti state Segun On who was returned unopposed as deputy national chairman of APC South.

Earlier before the voting commenced leaders of the party had assured Nigerians of the determination of the party to oust the PDP from power in 2015.

Former governor of Lagos Bola Tinubu said Nigerians would vote for APC because they cannot continue with corruption hunger mis governance.

Ex vice president Atiku Abubakar said he was poised to lead the struggle to remove the PDP from power.

Former Head of State General Muhammadu Buhari said APC remains the answer to many years of maladministration in Nigeria.

Buharis address had elicited loud ovation as the delegates hailed him over his stance on national issues.

Former chairman of the party Chief Bisi Akande said APC had come as a replacement for the recklessness of PDP in the country.
