Abolore Akande better known as 9ice, has lost at the APC primaries and will not be seeking to represent the Ogbomosho North/Ogbomosho South/Orire Federal Constituency come 2015, at least not under the banner of the All Progressive Congress.
9ice lost the ticket to Prince Akeem Oyewunmi, the son of an Ogbomoso high chief who is also legal practitioner.
9ice managed a total number of 142 votes while Akeem reportedly got a total of 270 votes.
It is a fatal blow to the singer’s plan to represent his people at the Federal House of Representatives in Abuja.
Nollywood actress, Kate Hanshaw also lost the chance to represent the Calabar South/Akpabuyo/Bakassi at the Federal House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Kate was defeated at the primaries which held yesterday, Saturday, December 6, 2014, in Calabar, Cross River State.
And in the spirit of fairness, the actress made the announcement via her Twitter handle, writing: ‘The primary was conducted in an orderly manner. It was fair and transparent. Sadly I did not make it.
My congrats to the winner.’ She continued by saying: ‘Happy Sunday to all my great people. God bless you for the support and words of encouragement. God will reward you same abundantly.’ With the development, Kate Henshaw joins other entertainers like Kenny Saint Best and Dayo Adeneye who have lost at their respective party primaries….
