Lagos Partially Closes Oworonshoki/Ogudu Bridge Sunday To Repair Damaged Joints On Bridge

The Lagos State Government through the contractor Messrs CCECC Nigeria Limited will carry out the repair works on damaged Expansion Joint at Oworonsoki-Ogudu bridge along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway (Ibadan Bound Side) in Kosofe Local Government Area on Sunday, 14th December, 2014 between the hours of 9:00 and 11:00am.

According to a release signed by the state Commissioner for Transport, Comrade Kayode Opeifa, “as part of the traffic management strategies during the exercise on the bridge, vehicular movement from Oworonsoki/ Ifako would be restricted to two lanes for the short period of the maintenance exercise.

“Vehicles moving inward Lagos from Ketu-Ojota interchange/ Ogudu would not be affected during the exercise.

“This notice serves as awareness information on the partial closure of the bridge. Motorists and other road users are therefore advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays”.

The state government appealed for caution and co-operation from all road users by obeying all traffic regulations and ensure traffic flow during the maintenance period.

The government also directed all relevant agencies to ensure free flow of traffic during the period.
