Dousing rumours of ill-health, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday morning, arrived Nigeria from the United Kingdom, saying ‘I’m hale and hearty.’
The opposition presidential candidate, it will be recalled had left Nigeria for London on February 19 amid rumours that he sneaked out of the country to attend to his “failing health.”
However, General Buhari, while in London appeared at the famous Royal Institute of Internal Affairs popularly called Chatham House, London, on February 26 to present a paper, while he also answer questions from the public.
General Buhari who was claded in a black flowing gown with a flash of white shirt on the collar walked out of the arrival lounge of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, around 5:40 am aboard British Airways.
On his trip abroad, the APC presidential candidate told newsmen upon enquiry that “I just went off for a couple of weeks to rest. That’s all I did.”
When also asked if he visited any hospital while in London, he queried that: “What is wrong for me to go the hospital? Am I not here now? Are you not seeing me? Are you seeing a sick man?”
