Shell Lifts Force Majeure On Bonny Light Exports

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Ltd (SPDC) operated Joint Venture today, Wednesday, 2nd September, 2015, lifted the force majeure on Bonny Light exports.

According to a statement from the company by Precious Okolobo, Corporate Media Relations Manager of the company, lifting of the force majeure became necessary
following the repair and re-opening of the Trans Niger Pipeline (TNP) and Nembe Creek Trunkline (NCTL.)

The statement stated that, “the TNP was repaired after a joint investigation visit found that a leak was caused by an illegal connection that failed. A number of crude theft points were removed from the NCTL”.
