Young ladies and their male counterparts of different ages gathered at No 114, Awolowo Way Ikeja, last weekend for an auditioning in a forthcoming movie to be produced by 1804 Productions.
The production company is headed by versatile actress, Queen Oluwa who told thegazellenews.com that the new movie is set to raise standard of film production in the country.
“We are putting up a production aimed at raising the standard of film production in Nigeria and I’m sure this humble efforts will get commendations from Nigerians,” she said. .
Queen Oluwa said further that, “I’m expecting to win an Oscar with this production”.
According to her, the cast is not going to be less than 100 as the film is going to be a multi-lingual production with the three major Nigerian languages and different dialects are to be used proficiently in the movie.
According to the versatile actress, the film focuse on contemporary issues such as prostitution, violence and child abuse.
Yomi Fabiyi, who was among the judges said auditioning is very important in getting the right cast for a good film production. He also said no matter the budget and the quality of crew in a particular production, wrong casting can do damage to all what the producer intends to achieve.
Irrespective of the fact that it was hectic, talents were discovered and it was all worth it.
Also at the event as judges were Ngozi Nwosu, Laide Bakare-Oriowo, Toyosi Adesanya, Kunle Afod and Doris Simeon among others.
