Ambode, Obasa Preach Peace At Lagos Assembly Hijrah Celebration

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode and the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa both preached peace at the Lagos State House of Assembly Hijrah 1437 AH programme.

The governor who was represented by his deputy, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule, pleaded with all Executive Secretaries in the state to harp on environmental sanitation.

Ambode enjoined parents to take care of their children because they are their future.

Ambode also expressed gratitude to the people of Lagos for their support, ”we thank the state Assembly for its support of this administration, I so much appreciate your gesture.

”To all our executive Secretaries in the state, we enjoin you to take care of your environment.  Today in Lagos, environmental sanitation law is still in force.

”We thank you so much, the people of Lagos for the support you are given this administration, we promise we won’t let you down.

”We parents must pay attention and take care of our children because they are our future ”.

Meanwhile, Speaker Obasa in his opening remarks said the Assembly is working on tackling complex issues and stamp out corruption.

His statement read ”We in government are desirous of new transformation in its ability to create a new framework of policies that will tackle complex issues, stamp out corruption and make life abundant for our people in accordance with divine laws of Allah”.

”Our goal is to bring all and sundry together because we felt if there is change within the soul and mind-set through attitudes, beliefs, creed, symbolic interaction, motivation, commitment, the desire to bring forth compatriots towards achieving the vision and mission of maintaining a balanced society will be fruitful”.

The two guest lecturers, Ustadh Muhammad Nuruddeen Lemu and Shaykh Abdullah Rahman Adangba, who spoke on the theme of the event “THE UNIVERSALITY OF THE MESSAGE OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD” pleaded spoke on the need for the upholding of truth and honestty by both the governed and administrators as this would pave way for the development and growth of the nation.
