Security: Ahmed Solicits Collaboration With Stakeholders

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State has called on stakeholders in the state to collaborate with the State government in maintaining peace and safety.
The governor made the call on Tuesday when he met with stakeholders in to discuss crucial matters in the State.
He noted that it is incumbent on all citizens and stakeholders to be vigilant and ensure that criminals are apprehended before committing any crime.
Alhaji Ahmed noted that clashes between farmers and herdsmen are major issues of major social and security concern which all stakeholders need to tackle. He emphasized the need for community engagement, adherence to the rule of law and mutual understanding as steps towards ending the skirmishes.
Governor Ahmed however noted that the State has been able to adopt ways of promoting peaceful co-existence in a manner that promotes dialogue as an antidote such skirmishes.
On infrastructure, the Governor Ahmed noted that his administration is committed to ensuring development is even across the State through the State Infrastructure Development Fund (IFK) put in place.
He expressed optimism that with the funding window, infrastructure projects in the State will be carried to desirable levels.
He disclosed that road rehabilitation has resumed across the State in ensuring that roads are motorable for the people as it drives the economy.
