Just In: Modupe & Folorunsho Alakija Donate N1bn To Fight Coronavirus

The Executive Chairman and Executive Vice Chairman of Famfa Oil and Gas, Modupe and Folorunsho Alakija have donated N1 billion to contribute to the fight against coronavirus in Nigeria.
The Gazelle News.com reports that the donation was announced on Sunday, 29 March, 2020 by the Alakijas.
According to a breakdown of the donation, both the Lagos State Government and the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) got N250 million each; medical workers battling the deadly virus in Lagos and Abuja got N100 million each; N245 million is earmarked for the supply of medical equipment among others.
The Alakijas while saluting the resilience and fighting spirit of Nigerians assured that they were confident that with concerted and collective efforts of all, the pandemic will be defeated.
