The number of confirmed cases of#COVID19 in Lagos rose to 2373 on Saturday, 16 May, 2020 as 176 new cases were reported nationwide, The Gazelle News.com reports.
According to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) while giving its daily update on the pandemic in the country on its Twitter handle, the 176 new cases reported brought the total number of cases in the country to 5621 while Lagos continues to be the epicentre of the pandemic in the country.
On a good note however, Lagos recorded 95 new cases on Saturday compared to the whopping 179 it recorded the previous day, Friday, 15 May, 2020. Suffice to add that what Lagos recorded on Friday was more than the total recorded on nationwide on Saturday.
