Nigeria recorded a death-free day on Saturday, 23 May, 2020 as 265 new cases of Covid-19 are reported reports The Gazelle News.com.
The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported on its official Twitter handle that the death rate from the coronavirus scourge in the country remains at 221 on Saturday, 23 May, 2020, same number it was on Friday, 22 May, 2020.
With the additional 265 cases recorded on the day, the number of infections in Nigeria rose to 7526
The Gazelle News.com reports that the new cases were reported in 12 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). They are: Lagos with 133 cases, Oyo has 34 cases reported, Edo 28, Ogun 23, FCT 22, Plateau 6, Kaduna 5, Borno and Niger 3 each, and the quartet of Kwara, Bauchi, Anambra and Enugu have 2 cases each.
