The coronavirus case in Lagos is becoming worrisome as a record 183 cases are reported in the state on Thursday, 7 May, 2020, The Gazelle News.com reports.
It was the highest number in a single day as reported on the verified twitter handle of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as at 11.24pm on Thursday.
The Gazelle News.com reports further that for the first time, Nigeria reported a record 381 new cases in a 24-hour stretch.
The total number of reported cases in Nigeria has risen to 3526.
Of the 381 cases reported on Thursday, 7 May, 2020, Lagos has 183 cases reported, Kano has 55, Jigawa 44, Zamfara and Bauchi 19 each, Katsina has 11, Borno 9, Kwara 8, Kaduna 7, Gombe 6, Ogun 5, Sokoto 4, Oyo and Rivers have 3 each, Niger 2, Akwa Ibom, Enugu and Plateau have 1 reported case each.
Lagos remains the epicentre with 1491 cases now, Kano has 482 cases and FCT 316 to make the top three.
