Senator Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo has sent a message of condolence to the people of Ibeju Lekki over the death of the Onibeju of Ibeju Lekki, His Royal Majesty,Salami.
Oba Salami died on Wednesday, 3 June, 2020 in a hospital in Ibeju area after a brief illness.
Senator Osinowo, who represents Lagos East Senatorial District in the Senate, described the late monarch as a father to all whose reign has brought development and growth not only to the Ibeju Lekki axis but the state as a whole.
“He was a well respected monarch and one of the most active in the state. He has brought a lot of development and growth not only to Ibeju Lekki but also to the entire state.
“Although we are sad that Kabiyesi is leaving us at this period we need his invaluable wisdom and experience, we cannot query Almighty God, the only one who can give and take life,” he said.
Senator Osinowo, also Chairman of Senate Committee on Industries, stated further that the immediate family and people of Ibeju Lekki should take solace in the fact that the monarch lived a life of accomplishment, a life of service to his people and the state, a life of development and growth. “He was a man of great achievements, a great monarch who will be missed by all,” he said.
