Diekolola Osa Avielele, daughter of a former Governor of Kwara state and ex-Communication Minister, Chief Cornelius Adebayo is dead, The Gazelle News.com reports.
She died on Saturday, 18 July, 2020, due to complications arising from childbirth.
She was reported to have had her child a week ago but complications developed and she died on Saturday.
She was an event centre owner and second child of Chief Cornelius Adebayo who was elected Governor of Kwara State three months in 1983 having been elected on the platform of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN). Chief Adebayo was also a former Minister of Communications.
Diekola graduated from the University of Ilorin and went ahead to Nigerian Law School in Abuja. She also bagged an LLM from Howard University School of Law, Washington DC. Her father started his career as a lecturer at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife from 1969 to 1973 before he delved into politics and was later elected Governor of Kwara State.
