The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared incumbent governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the governorship election in Edo State, reports The Gazelle News.com.
Governor Obaseki polled a total of 307,955 to beat his closest rival,Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who polled 223,619 to win the election which took away place on Saturday, 19 September, 2020.
Obaseki won in 14 of the 18 local governments in the state while Ize-Iyamu won in four local governments.
