Mrs Nzube Obiechina has spoken further of the torture and humiliation she and her husband received from the officers of disbanded the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
Mrs Nzube lamented that the officers put a tyre around her husband’s neck, “they threatened to set him ablaze”.
She told members of the Judicial Panel of Enquiry on Police Brutality and other matters sitting at Lekki Phase One that, “Every day for three weeks my husband and I were locked up in different cells and persistently tortured”.
She mentioned the names of the three SARS operatives behind their arrest as: Phillip Urena, Haruna Idowu and one Christian.
