The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, is at the head of proven academics and professional expected to speak at the Lagos State University (LASU) Faculty of Science International Conference 2020, reports The Gazelle News.com.
The event will take place virtually between Wednesday, 2 December and Friday, 4 December, 2020 with the theme: the Roles of Science and Technology in Combating Current and Future Global Challenges.
Other speakers expected are: Professor Babatunde Lawal Salako, Director General, Nigeria Institute of Medical Research; Professor Abidemi Kappo, University of Johannesburg; Professor Victor W Mbarika, Endowed Professor of ICT, Southern University, Lousiana, United States of America; Professor A O Oyedeji, Walter Sisulu University, South Africa; Dr Moshood Omotayo, Harvard Medical School, Boston MA, USA; Dr P K Nayak, University of Waterloo, Canada; and Dr O O Agboola, Convenant University, Nigeria.
The Chairman of the Local Organising Committee for the event, Professor Shehu Akintola stated that the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Adenike Boyo will be the host while the Vice Chancellor of LASU, Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun will be the chief host.
