Activist Backs Sanwo-Olu’s Call For FG’s Collaboration To Rebuild Lagos

A right activist, Adebayo Oyenekan, has thrown his weight behind the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s call on the Federal Government to assist in rebuilding the state.
Oyenekan, who is the National Convener of the Congress of Progressive Youth described the call as, “normal, in order and not out of place.”
The youthful activist, in a chat with the press in Lagos Friday, explained that, the wanton descrution on the state during the recent #EndSARS protest was so huge that repairing the damages would be beyond what the state can handle without the central government’s collaboration.
According to him, the protest appeared as if the carnage visited on the state was premeditated to bring the state down to its knees socially, economically and politically, suspecting that, such a senseless and needless destructions was the handiwork of hoodlums  that inflitrated the ranks of the genuine protesters.
Oyenekan was of the conviction that, if it is left without the Federal Government collaboration, the citizenry would suffer, regretting that, the sad development would have grounded the state if not for the ingenuity of the man in charge-Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Against this backdrop, the oncerned activist declared that the governor Sanwo-Olu’s trip to the Villa in Abuja to solicit the assistance of the Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari on the huge project, believing that, “President Buhari, a listening father of the nation, would come to Sanwo-Olu and people’s aid.”
While thanking the President for giving the governor audience to popresent his case and assuring him positive response, the activist enthused that, “the President, a listening leader, would walk his talk by promptly setting up machinery for the sake of the generality of the people.”
This, according to Oyenekan, would, serve as soothing balm for the needless suffering from the huge destructions of infrastructures in the state.
The concerned group leader therefore enjoined the people to be prayerful to ginger the Federal Government to collaborate with Lagos  governor , asserting that, “only with the Federal Government’s intervention that the burden of the repairs would be lightened for Sanwo-Olu’s administration.”
