Man Appears In Court Over Plan To Kill His Father

A 37 year -old man named Moses Eche has been arraigned by the police in Benue at Makurdi Area Court over plan to kill his father.

The prosecutor, Inspector Rachael Mchiave, on Monday, 20 February, 2023, told a Magistrate Court sitting in Markudi, the state capital, that the defendant on Thursday, 16 February, 2023, threatened to kill his father, Daniel Eche, if he did not give him money.

However, when the case came up for hearing, Eche denied all the allegations leveled against him by the police prosecutor.

The Magistrate, Mrs Dooshima Ikpambese, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 and one surety in like sum and fixed March 21, 2023 for further hearing.
