Former Auditor General for Local Governments in Lagos State, Alhaji Mubashiru Hassan has hailed the court ruling that validated the election of the President, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reports thegazellenews.com.
Alhaji Hassan stated this on Friday, 8 September, 2023 while congratulating President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and the All Progressives Congress (APC), on their victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) which ruling was delivered on Wednesday, 6 September, 2023.
“It’s victory for the people because it confirmed that they truly gave their mandate to President Tinubu. The people are happy about the ruling their mandate has not been usurped by someone they didn’t give it to,” he said.
Hassan also commended the five-man panel led by Justice Haruna Tsamani for what he described as, “thorough, painstaking, professional and patient job”.
In the face of the high drama brought about by the intimidation and outright blackmail by the petitioners and their supporters, he said the judges passed with flying colours.
“They deserved huge commendation for being highly professional in their conduct and utterances. They were patient and displayed huge patriotism by painstakingly explaining the ruling paragraph by paragraph and except for mischief and otherwise, nobody can fault them,” he said.
