The Supreme Court has told Atiku Abubakar and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) cannot call in additional witnesses after filing their briefs under the 21 day ultimatum for doing so.
Justice Okoro reading the lead judgment stated that the petitioners must file list of their witnesses alongside their petition within the 21-day time limit.
Justice Okoro said that allowing the petitioners to file additional witnesses after the 21-day ultimatum will mean trampling on the rights of the respondents who have already filed their response to the petition based on the evidence of witnesses filed alongside the petition
