The state Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Bolu Owotomo gave the directive at a meeting held with the leaders of the market, led by Seriki Hausa Community, Alhaji Mohammed Badamosi in his office at Oke-Mosan, saying if necessary steps were not taken within the speculated period, drastic steps would be taken by the state government.

Owotomo said the unwholesome attitude of the traders on revenue remittance would no longer be tolerated, adding that environmental issues in the market should be taken seriously to avoid environmental hazards.

According to the Commissioner, “The government is not happy with the revenue being remitted to government coffers and the poor environmental condition of the market. So, you have to come up with an amicable resolution on these two major issues”.
