The Benue State government has disclosed that it will focus on completing the ongoing work at some state-owned bakeries to address youth unemployment in the state.

The Managing Director of Benue State Investment and Property (BIPC), Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, who stated this during an inspection of one of the bakeries in the state, said government is investing in improving the skills of young people by establishing bakeries.

According to him, improving the skills of youths in the state aligns with the administration’s renewed hope agenda and the plans of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia.

Dr. Asemakaha expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and commended the project handlers for their exceptional work.

In addition to the bakery project, Dr. Asemakaha also inspected other infrastructure that will improve the efficiency and professionalism of the staff.

He further explained that these infrastructures will attract foreign investors and cater to the needs of foreign expatriates and guests visiting the state.
