Ogun State Governor and Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has sympathized with his Borno State counterpart, Prof. Babagana Zulum and the people of the state over the incident of flood that recently ravaged Maiduguri, the state capital.

The Governor, in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, said the ravaging flood has caused a serious humanitarian crisis in the state, which requires urgent support from all Nigerians.

He said while natural disasters of that nature were inevitable, a prompt response like that of the government of Borno and the Federal Government would go a long way in ameliorating the situation and bringing about immediate relief for the people.

“I commiserate with my brother, Prof. Babagana Zulum and the people of Borno State over the devastating flood in the state, which has resulted in a humanitarian crisis of high magnitude.

“The government and the people of Ogun State are with the Borno people during this period of agony, and we shall continue to pray for them,” the statement read.
