One of the crowd pulling politicians in Agege, Sola Osolana is set to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports thegazellenews.com
This is a sequel to the impeachment of the former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Honourable Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.

This medium learnt that arrangements have been concluded for the popular politician to return to the Progressives fold after his sojourn in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Osolana was a prominent member of the APC before he was virtually forced to defect to PDP when the power that be in Agege stiffled him out due to his closeness to the former member of the state Assembly, Dr Yinka Ogundimu.
During the first term of the present Chairman of Agege Local Government, Honourable Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi, Osolana initially served as the Supervisor for Works.
He was one of the leading aspirants to the chairmanship seat before he was asked to step down for Egunjobi when the going was good between the former Speaker and Ogundimu.
When the former Speaker fell out with Ogundimu, his camp embarked on removing the later’s loyalists in various offices in Agege and Orile Agege Local Council Development Area.
First to go was Osolana, then an arranged removal of Honourable Kolawole Anigbajumo as the Leader of the Agege Legislative Council.
Following the two was Honourable Rasheed Osanyinpeju aka Aroko, who was the Chairman of the Revenue Committee for Agege Local Government. Incidentally, Osanyinpeju was the Leader of the Council’s Legislative Arm and Obasa his deputy during their days as Councillors when Late Chief Enoch Kolapomoye Ajiboso was the Chairman.
After their removal, Osolana and Osanyinpeju sought solace in PDP while Anigbajumo completed his term as Councillor and ‘japa’ to the United States of America (USA).
Thegazellenews.com learnt exclusively from those close to Osolana that he had already resigned from the PDP in December while trying to access his political future ahead of the New Year.
“However, the ouster of Obasa made his decision quick and easy. He had decided to return to where he rightly belongs knowing that a new wave of political liberation and level playing ground has hit Agege,” sources told thegazellenews.com
