The Onisabe of Igbobi-Sabe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Owolabi Adeyemi Adeniyi has congratulated former Lagos State Commissioner for Transport, Dr Kayode Opeifa on his appointment as the Managing Director of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), reports thegazellenews.com
The monarch while reacting to the appointment of Opeifa as the MD of NRC by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday, 22 January, 2025, described the appointment as well-deserved.
Oba Adeniyi described Opeifa as a person who is committed to service to the people, noting his excellent performance as Commissioner for Transport in Lagos State.
“He has such a vast knowledge and experience in the transport sector not in Lagos but in also in the entire country. I must give kudos to the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this important assignment. Dr Opeifa is a round peg put in a round hole and I have the confidence in his ability and capacity to perform and perform excellently,” the Monarch said.
Oba Adeniyi described the appointment of Opeifa as honour for all Lagosians, noting that his excellent performance in Lagos paved way for this important and strategic appointment.
