Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu has received an invitation to visit the South American nation, Brazil.
An invitation to visit Brazil was extended to Tinubu by his counterpart, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on Wednesday, 12 March, 2025

Delivering the invite to Tinubu, Brazilian Foreign Affairs Minister, Mauro Viera told the Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar that the invitation is part of efforts to deepen diplomatic relations between Brazil and Nigeria.
Speaking at a meeting in Abuja, Viera, who led the Brazilian team to Nigeria said they hope to engage in high-level talks with officials in the country.

With both nations expected to sign some agreements that could strengthen their bilateral relationship, Viera commended President Tinubu for his participation and contributions at the G-20 summit in Brazil last November.
He also said that the dialogue had opened platforms for deeper relationships in the areas of culture, economics, cooperation and education.
