Tragedy struck on the morning of Saturday, 19 April, 2025, when a multi-storey building located on Oremeta Street, Ojodu-Berger area of Lagos State collapsed, leaving many feared trapped beneath the rubble.
The building, reportedly still under construction, also housed the popular EqualRight Restaurant, a known spot for residents and visitors in the area.
Eyewitnesses said the incident occurred at about 8:00 am, catching both occupants and passersby off guard. The exact number of casualties remains unknown as emergency responders continue rescue operations at the scene.
