German Bundesliga giants, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, have officially confirmed the appointment of former Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag as their new head coach, reports the gazellenews.com
According to the club, the Dutchman penned a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2027.

The club confirmed the deal is a two-year agreement, running through the end of the 2026/27 season.
“Let’s get started. Erik ten Hag signs with Bayer 04 as our new head coach until 2027,” the club posted in an official statement on Monday, 26 May, 2025 via X.
The 55-year-old former Ajax tactician replaces Xabi Alonso, who previously led Leverkusen to domestic success. Ten Hag was widely considered the main candidate for the role following Alonso’s departure.
Speaking after his unveiling, ten Hag expressed his admiration for the club and excitement about the opportunity.
“Bayer Leverkusen is one of the best clubs in Germany and also belongs to the expanded European elite. The club offers excellent conditions, the talks with those responsible have impressed me very much,” he said.
