The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate in Lagos Island Local Government in the coming Lagos council elections, Prince Taiwo Oyekan has paid homage to the foremost Lagos King, His Imperial Majesty Oba Rilwan Babatunde Osuolale Aremu Akiolu at his Idunganran palace on Tuesday, 17 June, 2025.
The visit follows the official presentation of APC flag to Prince Oyekan by the Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the party, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi at its secretariat, Acme road, Ogba, Lagos.
Welcoming the APC chairmanship candidate, Oba Akiolu offered royal blessings for Prince Oyekan.
The royal father however charged
Prince Oyekan to serve Lagos Island residents diligently and offer qualitative governance upon assumption of office.
In his speech, Prince Oyekan expressed gratitude to Oba Akiolu for his fatherly advice and guidance.
“Kabiyesi sir, longer may you reign in good health, wisdom and riches”, he prayed.
Present at the event were the Lagos Island APC chairmanship candidate, Prince Taiwo Oyekan, Lagos white cap chiefs and well wishers.
