The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Monday, 7 July, 2025 disclosed that it carried out precision air strikes on terrorist hideouts in the Mandara Mountains, Borno State, eliminating dozens of Boko Haram fighters and damaging their logistics network, reports thegazellenews.com
NAF Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, made this disclosure in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday, 7 July, 2025.

According to Ejodame, the operation, conducted on July 6 under Operation Hadin Kai, targeted key strongholds of the Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS) faction of Boko Haram.
NAF image-maker added that the targets, Wa Jahode and Loghpere, have long served as fortified enclaves for insurgents, located in rugged terrain along Nigeria’s border with Cameroon.
He further added that intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions had confirmed increased terrorist activity in the area, including logistics build-ups and the presence of senior JAS commanders.
“Clusters of structures fitted with solar panels, black flags, and fortified compounds were observed, indicating preparations for coordinated attacks.
“In response, NAF strike aircraft executed a series of well-coordinated air interdictions, targeting and destroying high-value terrorist infrastructure including logistics warehouses, command centres, and defensive shelters,” Ejodame said, just as he also added that the operation disrupted the terrorists’ supply chain and degraded their operational capabilities.
According to him, Air Force remains committed to sustaining the ongoing onslaught against insurgents and restoring peace to all troubled regions across the country.
