The Eti-Osa community witnessed back-to-back landmark events on Tuesday, 22 July, and Wednesday, 23 July, 2025, as two monumental structures were commissioned in enduring honour of the late Chairman of the Eti-Osa branch the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Barr. M.M.A. Sanni, who passed on suddenly in December last year.
On Tuesday, 22 July, 2025, at Igbo-efon, the newly constructed Eti-Osa Local Government Smart Administrative Building with Legislative Chamber was officially commissioned amidst fanfare and emotional reflections. The magnificent structure has now been christened “Barr. Adewale Sanni House”, ensuring that the name and legacy of the late NBA Chairman are eternally etched into the architectural and administrative landscape of Eti-Osa.

The edifice was commissioned by His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi (Kusenla III), Elegushi of Ikate Land. As boldly inscribed on the marble plaque, the building was dedicated “to the glory of Almighty God and benefit of mankind,” and in honour of the late Barr. Sanni’s pioneering leadership and selfless contributions to the development of Eti-Osa and its environs.
The project was facilitated by Mr. Saheed Adesegun, Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government, to whom the NBA Eti-Osa Branch expresses heartfelt gratitude.

On Wednesday, 23 July, 2025, the spirit of remembrance continued at Okun-mopo, Ogombo, within the Eti-Osa East LCDA, where the Late Barrister Sanni Adewale Sports Complex was unveiled to the admiration of the local community, especially the youth and sports enthusiasts.
This state-of-the-art sports complex, named in honour of the late NBA Chairman, was commissioned by Distinguished Senator Wasiu Sanni Eshilokun, and facilitated by Hon. John Campos Ogundare, Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa East LCDA.

The football match and general excitement that followed the commissioning reflected the profound impact that Barr. Sanni had on both the legal and wider community. His legacy is now enshrined not just in professional spaces, but in grassroots recreation and youth development.
Members of the NBA Eti-Osa Branch Executive turned out in full force for both ceremonies to honour the memory of their late pioneer Chairman. Their presence and unity reaffirmed that Barr. M.M.A. Sanni lives on—in memory, in legacy, and now in bricks and fields.
The branch also acknowledged the constant presence in spirit of its current Chairman, Mr. Olanrewaju Obadina, who is presently studying abroad. Mr. Obadina remained in steady contact with members, ensuring a strong turnout and offering words of encouragement throughout both events.

The widespread encomiums and ceaseless prayers for the repose of the soul of Barr. M.M.A. Sanni continue to debunk the cynical adage that “the good men do is often interred with their bones.” On the contrary, his legacy blossoms louder by the day—perhaps because he left no room for evil to thrive while he lived.
The NBA Eti-Osa Branch expressed appreciation to both Mr. Saheed Adesegun and Hon. John Campos Ogundare, whose foresight and magnanimity ensured that the memory of Barr. Sanni has been immortalised in two transformational projects.
“These enduring structures are more than buildings—they are testaments to a life of purpose, honour, and service,” the Eti-Osa NBA noted via a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Makinde Akeem Olasunkanmi, Esq.
