D’Tigress emulated the Super Falcons by overcoming a six point deficit going into the final quarter to win by seven points and qualified for the final.

D’Tigress won the first quarter 22-17, won the second 21-20, lost the third 9-21 hence losing by 52-58 going into the last quarter. The Nigerian team however turned the tie on its head in the last quarter winning by 23-10 to win by 75-68.
