Nigeria’s national women’s basketball team, D’ Tigress will arrive in Abuja on today, Monday, 4 August, 2025, reports thegazellenews.com
D’ Tigress only on Sunday defeated Mali 78- 64 to clinch the continental title for the 5th consecutive time.

According to reports from the camp of the team, the victorious D’Tigress will depart Abidjan by 10am with two chartered flights that will airlift both players and officials.
They are expected to arrive at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport with the trophy in Abuja by 12 noon.
They were expected to be hosted to a reception by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Aso Villa later on Monday, 4 August, 2025.
Thegazellenews.com recalled that a Federal Government delegation led by the Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Shehu Dikko which included former Minster of Sports and now Special Advise to the President on Public Communications, Chief Sunday Dare left Abuja for Abidjan on Sunday, 3 August, 2025 and they were part of the crowd that cheered D’Tigress to victory.
