The Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area, Hon. Seyi Jakande on Monday, 4 August, 2025, convened a strategic meeting with Council Manager, management and the Council’s Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) at its Secretariat.
The meeting was the first the Chairman would hold since his assumption of office.
In his address, Hon. Jakande acknowledged the vital contributions of the management and staff, assuring them that their diligence and commitment would be recognized and rewarded. He emphasized his promise to improve the welfare of all staff members, stating that their well-being is a priority for his administration.
The Chairman pledged to implement initiatives aimed at enhancing staff benefits and creating a more supportive work environment like a working Internet facility among others, taking their welfare to a new level.
Moreover, Hon. Jakande underscored the importance of punctuality as a crucial element for boosting productivity and service delivery across all departments. He expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of the staff over the years and reiterated the importance of renewed commitment to duty and professionalism in public service. He encouraged all employees to embrace excellence in their respective roles, setting a high standard for performance.
The general meeting served as a platform for Hon. Jakande to articulate his HEWA administrative vision for the LCDA. He elaborated on his strategic priorities, inviting the collective input and support of all stakeholders to achieve the set developmental goals.
