IGP Redeploys Force PRO Adejobi to Delta Command As DC Operations

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the redeployment of DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi to Delta State from his position as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), reports thegazellenews.com

Adejobi has been posted to Delta State as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations.

Adejobi was recently promoted from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).

He was first appointed in an acting capacity on 16th February 2022 while serving as a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), taking over from then CP Frank Mba. His appointment was later confirmed by the then Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali (Rtd).

DCP Adejobi brings decades of expertise in police operations, public relations, and law enforcement advocacy.

Adejobi studied Archaeology and Geography (Combined Honours) at the University of Ibadan, where he also obtained a master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies.

He previously served as Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the Ogun State Command from 2008 to 2016; PPRO at Zone 2 Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, in 2016; and PPRO of the Lagos State Police Command between September 2020 and August 2021.

He is also a member of several professional organisations, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), International Public Relations Association (IPRA), Pointman Leadership Institute (USA), International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP, USA), and the Institute of Corporate Administration, Nigeria.
